Watson Industries has a wide range of sensor options to provide measurement and control information on all types of moving platforms. Some common applications include navigation of Remotely Operated and Remotely Piloted Vessels & Vehicles, Stabilisation of Camera and Antenna systems, Road Vehicle Testing, Robotics, Vessel Roll Stabilisation, Attitude Data for Sonar Imaging, Aerial Photography, and all similar requirements. Watson Industries has been using vibrating structure gyros in products since 1995. While still small in size, they are larger and heavier than our MEMS gyros. However, they feature a more rugged design and are better able to handle vibration and shock. The VSG is also the rate gyro of choice in most of our sensor packages which have an even wider range of applications.
